
The HELVIA Trust Group also follows the recommendations of the GAFI-FATF (Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering) by promoting behavior aimed at combating the crimes of money laundering and self-laundering of proceed from criminal activities.
The HELVIA Trust Group, when accepting its own professional assignments, in compliance with the above mentioned regulations, systematically carries out the following for each mandate:
- customer due diligence i.e. identification of the customer and verification of their identity on the basis of documents, data or information obtained from reliable and independent sources and registration and preservation of the data acquired;
- identification and verification of the beneficial owner, i.e. the "natural person on whose behalf a transaction or activity is carried out, or, in the case of a legal entity, the person or persons who ultimately own or control that entity, or are its beneficiaries...";
- collection of information on the purpose and intended nature of the ongoing relationship and constant verification during the course of the relationship;
- reporting of suspicious transactions or when there are suspicions or reasonable grounds to suspect that money laundering or terrorist financing operations are being or have been carried out or attempted.
